RYLAND Centre player Sophie Baxter helped Wales' netball team finish eighth in the Commonwealth Games.
Baxter, who plays for the Bromsgrove based club, overcame early injury worries to play for Wales and help them get over a slow start to the matches in Melborune.
Wales met eventual silver medal winners Australia and lost 78-22 in the first match of the preliminary round pool two.
They were narrowly edged out 49-21 by Samoa, before losing to Singapore 74-21.
However, Baxter and her side rallied as Wales beat Singapore 45-36.
A 55-34 win over Barbados sealed fourth place in the team's pool.
Wales then met South Africa, who finished fourth in pool one, in the play off for seventh and eighth place, which they narrowly lost 46-43.
