AT the annual fellowship luncheon held at the Quality Hotel we celebrated the golden anniversary of the Redditch club.
President Valerie Pickering welcomed visitors from clubs in district six, friends and members.
The town was represented by the Mayor Diane Thomas, who praised the club for fundraising over the past 50 years.
The president of Rotary, David Taylor, presented the ceremonial collar for the last 50 years, which has been mounted in a frame.
District chairman Dawn Williams brought greetings from the 40 clubs in the district, congratulating Redditch for aid in the local area and worldwide.
Dawn was presented with a cheque for her chosen charity, Caring For Life Women's Hospital. The speaker Sussanne Morgan crowned the celebrations with the most entertaining and hilarious account of her life recalling owning jewellery shops to becoming the only Lady Pawn Broker in Staffordshire.
