A TEAM from Bromsgrove Golf Club booked their place in the Mail on Sunday competition's next round by beating local rivals Ombersley 4-1.
On the Stratford Road course the team of Chris Mole, Phil Dyke, Dave Thompson and Matt Dale all won their singles matches. Ian Sallows was narrowly beaten 2-1.
Bromsgrove's juniors started the 2006 season with gusto by getting the better of Gaudet Luce. Despite having five new players taking part Bromsgrove were still too strong.
Craig Boland and Harrison Mace Won 4- 2, James Wheller and Pat Oxenham were 3-1 winners. Emily Priest and Gavin Forbes beat their rivals 7-5, Dan Nicklin and Blaine Stevenson were 4-2 winners.
Jack Walker and Michael Kirkby edged a pairing from Gaudet Luce 5-4 and George Carter and Andy Griffiths won 7-6.
