SIR - Foster's snipe over Luff's voting record appears to be a case of the pot calling the kettle back. While Luff's voting record isn't perfect, neither is Foster's. According to www.publicwhip.org.uk Foster has not voted on more than 500 occasions and Luff has missed more than 700 votes since the first New Labour government in 1997.

As reported in the Worcester News this weekend, Luff had unavoidable commitments that meant missing the Education Bill vote; something surely that Foster could have found out for himself rather than attempting to make rather cheap political collateral from. We hear enough of this kind of thing during Prime Minister's Question Time. It is time both our representatives dragged themselves up from the gutter level of politics and dealt with education in Worcester in a mature and collaborative fashion.

BOB NORFOLK,

Parent Governor St George's C of E,

Worcester.
