WORCESTER City will leave it until the 11th hour before deciding whether to risk midfielder Liam McDonald against Northwich Victoria.
City face the Nationwide North leaders tomorrow as part of a 48-hour double header at St George's Lane, which includes Nuneaton on Monday.
McDonald limped out of last Saturday's FA Cup victory over Tonbridge Angels with an ankle injury and is a major concern.
Manager Andy Preece said there would be a late decision on McDonald's fitness, but his absence could make way for a rising star.
"Liam was struggling to train on Tuesday," Preece added. "If he does not make it there is a possibility that Sam Wedgbury may come in."
