WORCESTER director of rugby John Brain says he will be fielding his strongest possible team against Sicilian minnows Amatori Catania in the European Challenge Cup at Sixways tomorrow (2pm).
Brain has watched his side lose their last four games -- a sequence which began in this competition against Connacht on December 17.
And he is desperate to return to winning ways before they get back on the Guinness Premiership treadmill at Bristol on January 27.
"It's important for us now to build to the game against Bristol," said Brain. "We intend to play a strong line-up. We won't make many changes."
One change that will be forced upon Brain is on the wing. Aisea Havili is currently serving a suspension but would be unavailable anyway because he joined the club after the squad-naming deadline.
Uche Oduoza has played in all the European matches so far this season and is likely to get the nod again, while Mark Tucker or Jonny Hylton could be used on the other wing.
Nicolas Le Roux (knee), Pat Sanderson (back), Chris Horsman (ankle) and Tim Collier (shoulder) will all miss the game with injuries.
Warriors are still top of the group, despite the defeat in Galway, and have a one-point margin over the Irish side.
If they take maximum points from tomorrow's game and the following week's match at Montpellier, they will be guaranteed top spot in the group and a home quarter-final.
Catania proved they are no mugs by beating Montpellier 37-34 in the last round of matches.
They also ran Worcester close when the two teams met in Sicily in October. The 19-14 win meant Br-ain's side missed out on a vital bonus point.
"We'll obviously study what they did and didn't do last time," said Brain, who admits that the Italians remain something of an unknown quantity.
Head coach Anthony Eddy believes the players can use the next two games to put an end to their poor run of results. "They are a very motivated bunch," he said. "Obviously they are disappointed with their performances over the last few weeks.
"The European tournament gives us an opportunity to improve on our play. It also gives us an opportunity to come back bigger than better than ever for the rest of the Premiership."
