LEON Kelly is a handful for defenders, that much is true.
Nobody enjoys the role of shackling City's steamroller. All power and strength, Kelly knocks opponents to the ground better than Mike Tyson in his pomp.
Running at defenders and frightening them to death is what Kelly does best and his FA Cup performances were one of the key reasons City progressed far in the competition.
Adam Webster scored the goals, but Kelly's attacking threat delivered most problems, especially to Accrington Stanley and Chippenham.
However, aside from his hat-trick that floored a poor Hednesford Town side, the bustling 27-year-old continues to struggle for goals.
Against Huddersfield, no-body tried harder to make an impact. But Kelly spurned two golden one-on-one op-portunities.
It was the same on Saturday, Kelly snatching two excellent second-half efforts with just the Worksop goalkeeper to beat.
Composure is not the biggest asset in Kelly's locker and those chances were probably best reserved for Webster or player-manager Andy Preece.
With an arduous 10 league and cup games scheduled over the next six weeks, Preece may shuffle his pack from match-to-match to keep it fresh.
Perhaps now is the time to give Kelly a rest and try other options -- one alternative being to give young Troy Wood his chance.
The teenager is a prolific goalscorer at youth level and is regarded in some quarters as the best finisher at the club.
He scored a wonderful goal in his senior debut at Stourport Swifts three weeks ago and now looks ready to face the greater challenge ahead of him.
