EVESHAM United have the chance in the space of four days to win back to back matches for the first time this season and also improve on a miserable record in knockout competitions.

Saturday's rearranged Premier League clash brings Kings Lynn to Common Road, while old rivals Bromsgrove Rovers are the visitors next Tuesday night when a place in the last 16 of the Errea League Cup is the prize at stake.

Manager Dave Busst will replace suspended goalkeeper Dave Adey with the experienced Chris Taylor, while Lee Knight will earn a recall against the Norfolk side should Neil O'Sullivan's injured thigh rule him out with Richie Robinson taking over at left back.

"I'm not reading too much into last Saturday's result but we put our chances away and defended well," a delighted Busst admitted.

"The two new men have given everyone a lift and confidence is high at the moment. I believe that we under achieved at Kings Lynn earlier in the season and I hope that we get something from the game to keep our improvement going."

Bromsgrove, meanwhile, will have revenge on their minds following last season's Play-Off Final defeat. Rovers enjoyed a good run in the FA Cup but are struggling to make an impression in Division One West although they did win 2-0 in the last round at Solihull who sent the Robins crashing out of the FA Trophy.

That home defeat, allied to other Common Road exits at the hands of Tiverton and Studley in the FA and County Cups respectively, should be all the incentive the players need to ensure the Robins at least have something more than league football on their minds in the new year.

Saturday's match is being sponsored by Clarke Roxburgh, High Street, Evesham and the ball by Millvale, Black Bridges, Briar Close, Evesham.
