RICHARD Ball's hat-trick in Tuesday night's Worcestershire Senior Cup defeat against Studley means the Evesham United striker has scored more goals than his teammates have managed between them!
The Robins have found the net 15 times in 18 matches this season - a statistic that manager Dave Busst is hoping to improve on with the expected arrival of John Williams.
The former Kidderminster striker is now surplus to requirements at Redditch and he was expected at training last night when a few more fresh faces were also set to bolster Busst's squad.
It's a squad that is now bereft of several early season regulars following the recent departures of Adam Cooper, Jae Martin, Stuart Hamilton and Jermaine Clarke. Guy Hadland (ban) will also be absent at Chesham on Saturday and injured skipper Leon Blake is a doubt.
Northwood's 1-0 win at Banbury last Saturday leaves United just two points off bottom spot but a repeat of the basement side's success when the Robins make the short trip into Oxfordshire next Tuesday night will lighten the gloom.
United fans will be able to question Busst and assistant manager Paul West at a fans' forum in the Common Road clubhouse next Thursday from 9pm.
