WARRIORS skipper Pat Sanderson has been chosen in the England starting line-up for the match against Australia at Twickenham on Saturday.

The Worcester flanker has been named at number six while Lewis Moody is given the nod at open-side -- the position in which Sanderson plays his club rugby.

It means the former Sale and Harlequins star will play in his first international at Twickenham and wins his first test cap in four years.

England head coach Andy Robinson said: "I think Pat Sanderson could play anywhere in it --- at six, seven or eight -- and I see Lewis Moody as our number one open-side and Pat as our number one blindside."

Sanderson was unable to play in Worcester's superb 15-11 triumph over Leicester Tigers because of his international commitments.

But he still turned up at Sixways to act as drinks carrier for the side.

And stand-in skipper Tony Windo said that his presence was motivation for the whole team.

"That's the squad spirit we've got. Pat was away with England, he came back Thursday night and went back on Sunday. He hasn't got a great deal of time at home but what time he has got, he comes up and gives some support to the rest of us."

Chris Horsman played 35 minutes for Wales as they went down 41-3 against New Zealand at the Millennium Stadium on Saturday.

The Worcester prop came on as a second half substitute and, despite some powerful scrummaging, was unable to stop the All Blacks racking up a comprehensive win.
