This Sunday (March 26) is Mothering Sunday, which will be marked St James's Church with a special family service at 10.30am conducted by The Rev Rosemary Herbert, to which everyone - and especially families with young children will be welcome.
Evening Prayer the same evening at 6.30pm will be the last of the Lenten services on the theme of journeys, when former concert pianist The Rev Prebendary Carl Attwood, now the vicar of Colwall, will speak on his journey to the Christian Ministry.
There will be an opportunity to question the speaker over light refreshments after the service.
A reminder that tomorrow night (Saturday) it is the extra Cricket Club Quiz at the village hall from 7.30pm. Table bookings with Valerie Blackbourn on 564893 or on the door for late entrants.
