The parish hall committee is making another attempt to find someone to take over the village shop and post office, the recent applicant having withdrawn. In the interests of the village, the committee is keen to let the premises as a shop/post office but if no-one comes forward soon it will have to consider letting the space for any other purpose. Do you know someone who may be interested in running the post office (salary £5,697pa for 14 hours per week) alongside some other activity? Anyone interested in the premises should contact the committee secretary Frank Krinks on (01531) 640076. The shop at present is 336sq ft in all, but it is planned to increase this by about a third when improvements to the village hall are made next year.
Mothering Sunday. Please note there will be two services at Holy Trinity Bosbury, 10am family children's church and 6.30pm evensong.
Borderlines Film Festival - March 24 to April 2. Once again we are fortunate to be part of this annual event. On Saturday, April 1, at 7.30pm in the parish hall, the film The Consequence of Love will be shown. A quiet, dapper and secretive businessman lives anonymously and joylessly in a smart Swiss hotel until odd figures from his past start turning up. Starting off as an amusing character study, this turns into a romantic thriller that blends comedy, suspense and understated sentiment to intriguing and witty effect. Meticulously directed, sublimely filmed, this stylish exercise in cinematic precision is an absolute delight. Do bring family and friends to support the film festival.
