IT will be the Time of The Season for a trip down memory lane in Worcester next month when mid-60s rock group The Zombies come to the city.
The St Alban's-based group formed in 1961 after keyboardist Rod Argent, guitarist Paul Atkinson and drummer Hugh Grundy met while at school.
They then brought in bassist Paul Arnold who in turn introduced them to talented singer Colin Blunstone, whose vocals have graced their hits since.
They had their first taste of success in 1964 with their single She's Not There, after being spurred on by winning a local bands competition - The Herts Beats Contest - in 1963.
The song reached number 12 in the UK charts and has since been covered by various artists including Santana and Vanilla Fudge.
Further hits included February 1965's Tell Her No and Time Of The Season.
Their show in Worcester will be on Tuesday, April 4 at Huntingdon Hall. Tickets are £16, available by calling 01905 611427.
