I READ with great interest the letter from Mr Dawe (Your Letters, February 24). How I agree with everything.
I too experienced the same things - apart from playing with dolls and dressing up, instead of building trucks. Although I did on occasion help my brother do so - my reward being, to push him down our road running like mad to get speed up!
No one had a watch, but we still knew the time to go home after our games. Such innocent fun, and so much laughter. So many memories, such happy times. Would I like them over again? Yes please. Thank you Mr Dawe.
MRS KATE PHILLIPS, Beauchamp Lane, Callow End, Worcester.
