ENVIRONMENT volunteers in Cleeve Prior will be taking part in more days of voluntary action sponsored by the Environment Agency.
The first of the Action Earth days organised by RECYCLIT is next Tuesday. Three more are planned for Tuesday, April 18; Tuesday, April 25, and Tuesday, May 9. Next Tuesday, the volunteer team will be working from 10am in the Community Wildlife Garden at Field Barn, Evesham Road, where they will be maintaining paths and seats as well as replanting the garden's scent bed.
On April 18 they will be meeting at 10am on the Parish Wharf and Mill site to mow grass, clear scrub and preserve seats. April 25 will be the day for maintaining the Greenlink, a two-mile circular walk that links several environmental projects in Cleeve Prior, starting at 9.30am. The final Action Earth Day at 9.30am on May 9 will be at the environmental centre at Field Barn where the volunteers will be preserving barn doors and repairing display boards.
"This is a great opportunity for people to improve their local environment," said organiser Don Warren. For more information phone 01789 778570.
