A MUSIC student is staging a concert including his own compositions at a Malvern church.
Tim Corfield, of Cowleigh Road, is currently studying for an HND in music production at Worcester College of technology.
As part of his coursework he had to undertake a project, so he decided to put on the concert, which is on Saturday, April 1, at St Peter's Church, Cowleigh Bank.
The programme will include three piano pieces which Tim will play himself, and four more pieces, to be played by a quartet of violin, cello, clarinet and oboe.
As well as Tim and friends, the concert will also feature Malvern Male Voice Choir.
The choir's conductor, Charles Pavey, and members are keen to help Tim's endeavour, as are wardens and church councillors at St Peter's, where Tim's mother worships.
"I started playing the piano when I was seven, and started writing my own music when I was in my GCSE year at Dysons," said Tim.
Parish priest Alan Williams said: "It's a delight to be able to welcome the choir, Tim and his friends to the church to perform what promises to be a varied programme of music. We look forward to it and hope members of the public will come and support him."
Tickets for the concert are available from Tim on 07793 134007.
