WEST Malvern travelled to Bromsgrove on Saturday with a much-changed side.
BROMSGROVE CORINTHIANS 2, WEST MALVERN 0
Already facing five changes, centre-half Paul Milne then went down with flu on Friday night.
West Malvern had the wind at their backs in the first-half but failed to make the most of it.
In an evenly contested half, Bromsgrove went ahead in the 40th minute. A long ball caught the visiting defence square, keeper Mathew Powell rushed out to clear, only to miss his kick completely to leave the ball for the Corinthians striker to walk into the empty net.
The second-half followed a similar pattern with neither side dominating. West Malvern went close on a couple of occasions but Bromsgrove wrapped the game up in the 85th minute when a through- ball allowed the striker to score his second goal of the game.
West Malvern's scheduled league game for tomorrow (Saturday), against Inkberrow has been postponed due to their opponents playing in a cup final tonight (Friday).
West Malvern, sponsored by the Cross Keys and Amey, are next in action on Saturday, April 1, when they entertain Bromsgrove Corinthians. Players to meet at the dressing rooms at 2.15pm.
