AFTER last weekend's fine win against the team who were second in the league, Radar came up against Prinner Sports who are also challenging for Worcester Sunday League division one honours.
MALVERN RADAR 0, PRINNER SPORTS 1
The visitors started brightly with John Digger and Brett Morris causing early problems although the best chance fell to Radar's Nial Henderson, who controlled Darren Loader's well struck free-kick only for his effort to be superbly palmed away by keeper Matt Tipper.
The visitors took the lead after 16 minutes when Jamie Murphy reacted quickest to blast a loose ball in from close range.
Both teams had chances in the second-half, although the keepers were mainly dealing with crosses or long range efforts. Loader and Jason Lloyd put plenty effort in for Radar and Lloyd had two half-chances well saved by Tipper, who again defied Henderson late on.
Clive Churchill tried his weekly thunderbolt, which was straight at the keeper, and Prinner's Neil Grubb also went close with two long range efforts.
This Sunday, Radar are at home to Worcester Juniors, meet Victoria Park at 9.45am.
