LES Hines' career at Worcester City looks to be over after being deemed surplus to requirements.
The 29-year-old left-back has been told by manager Andy Preece that his future lies away from St George's Lane following the signing of Adam Burley.
Notification of Hines' availability has been circulated to clubs in Nationwide North and both Southern and UniBond Leagues.
There should be plenty of takers for the ex-Kidderminster Harriers and Hednesford Town defender, signed by former City manager John Barton in the summer of 2004.
An accomplished full-back and ex-pert dead-ball specialist, Hines should court interest from a host of potential suitors and a move is likely to materialise quickly.
With versatile left-footers Shabir Khan and Dennis Pearce on City's books, Preece admits it is necessary to cut his cloth.
"I've had a chat with Les and it is a difficult decision to make," said Preece. "He wants to play here and does not want to leave the club, so it was hard telling him how it is.
"I've brought Adam Burley in and, obviously, he's going to be our first choice at left wing-back.
"We've also got Shabir and Dennis who can play there. But those three can also play in other positions. They are a bit more flexible.
"Les can only really play in one position and we cannot afford to carry somebody for one position. Hopefully, he can get something sorted."
