SIR - For years I almost believed in the egalitarian intentions of people like Blair, Blunkett, Vaz, Mandelson and Jowell - politely listening as they established an army of tedious windbags who lectured us endlessly about the human rights of everybody on earth (except us, of course).

Now this vast feudal system of journalists, media persons, lawyers, human rights activists and politicians have Britain under their control, what 'rights' have ordinary British people whose families may have been here for thousands of years? Well, it's very simple. If your problem isn't fashionable and it doesn't seem sexy to a journalist or lawyer - forget it, because you haven't a chance. You are a powerless peasant.

My dentist will no longer take NHS patients because New Labour wants me to pay. Who will take up my case? Step forward Cherie Blair or 'Liberty' or Newsnight's investigative journalists? Here's a real joke - what about my New Labour MP? But we deserve it - we had it coming and now we are powerless. I suppose the next step is a peasant revolt.
