Evesham Jubilee Society
LAST Saturday's Open Match on the Jubilee Pool was fished in bitterly cold and windy conditions and only a few fish were feeding.
Drawn in a sheltered area (peg 36) and also a 'Golden Peg', Phil Seedhouse found nine carp to win the match weighing in 12.10.0.
In second place was Tim Hunt (8.7.0) who landed four chub on the feeder throwing to the back of the Island from last week's winning peg 32.
Third on the day was Alan Gardner with 3.15.0 of small carp.
The closed season open series continues on Saturday with an Open match on Phil's Pool at the fishery. The draw is at 9am with fishing for five hours from 10. Book in with Phil Seedhouse on 07813 395910.

MEMBERS braved a cold wind to contest the second match of the Spring season at the Jubilee Fishery where Jerry Akerman (0.15.0) got the better of his rivals.

SECOND round action in the Baguley Series fished on the Boundary Pool at Manor Farm resulted in section wins for Simon Pickering and Will and Dave Beasley.
The final will take place at the same venue on Sunday, April 9.
It's the first round of the Townsend series on the Jubilee Pool on Saturday when the draw will take place at 9am. Round two is seven days later on the Ghost Pool at Woodland View Fishery.
Junior teams are being entered in the Peatmoor Team Championships at Swindon on Monday, May 1 and, interested anglers who haven't yet given their names to Cyril, are asked to do so asap.
