SIR - May I ask your readers for some information? Sir John Swanwick Breadbury, secretary to the treasury (1913-1919) introduced white ten shillings and one pound notes to saving using gold as currency.
Has anyone ever seen one or handled one?
J H GILLIARD,
Worcester.
