SIR - I refer to your article headlined "Watch your handbags" in Worcester News, on Saturday, March 11. Like most people, I never thought this would happen to me, but on Saturday, March 4, I had my wallet stolen while in Marks &S pencer. The staff were wonderful , and even phoned my husband.
Luckily, my wallet did not hold much cash, but it did contain credit cards, driving licence and keyless card for my car. Do these people who commit these crimes realise the inconvenience they cause? Reporting the incident to my bank within 30 minutes, it was noticeable that I was not the only victim, as there were three other women doing exactly the same.
But worst of all, you also feel so annoyed with yourself for being so vulnerable - and can anyone remember exactly what they carry in their wallet?
JAN THOMPSON,
Worcester.
