WE all know that special someone at work... the person who picks you up when things are not all that great and generally inspires and motivates you.
The Chamber of Com-merce Employee of the Year Award, in conjunction with the Worcester News, aims to recognise that special person that other employees can aspire to. We're talking about a natural-born leader.
In a first for the Chamber of Commerce Herefordshire and Worcestershire, the winners of a ground-breaking competition will be chosen by the readers of the Worcester News.
The winner and a guest will receive complimentary tickets to the chamber awards dinner, on Thursday, June 8.
This year, the lavish ceremony is being held at the stately Birtsmorton Court, a 13th Century moated manor house in the foothills of the picturesque Malvern Hills.
The Employee of the Year Award celebrates drive, determination and ability. The winner will have contributed to the success of the business, just by being themselves, and they will have a willingness to try new approaches and be creative. Naturally, they will have an ability to get on with others.
If you know someone who deserves special recognition, fill in the coupon on this page and attach it to no more than one side of A4 paper saying why you think this person deserves the award.
Don't forget to give the full name of the person you are nominating, as well as the name of their company and their phone number, as well as your own, so the Worcester News and Chamber of Commerce can contact them should they be chosen for the shortlist.
Once all the nominations are in, a panel of judges will select a shortlist of entrants, who will then have their profiles published in the Worcester News. It will be down to you, the readers, to decide who wins.

The chamber awards, now enjoying their fifth year, are a renowned celebration of business success and achievement throughout the counties of Herefordshire and Worcestershire.
