ONE of Malvern's best known symbols - Morgan Cars - has set out to quash the "urban myth" there is a seven year wait for one of its classic sportsters.
The company has a unique product in the automotive industry, offering a range of hand-built British sports cars in their Malvern factory, made to specification for each client.
"Overseas orders are booming, but the company wanted to curb the myth that to own a Morgan sports car, there has to be long-term commitment and planning for the buyer," said Matthew Parkin, Morgan's sales and marketing director.
"The reality is that it averages just six months from order to delivery for each of the hand-built cars."
So Morgan commissioned Cirencester marketing communications agency, redtag, to design and deliver a mailing to stimulate the interest of potential buyers into visiting Richard Thorne Classic Cars - a dealership in Reading.
"We are delighted at the response generated by redtag's work," Matthew added.
"The mailing has been very well received."
