MOTORISTS are to be stopped and asked for their opinions on future developments, such as new housing sites and how it will affect traffic timing and flows.
Worcestershire County Council's Transport Planning Unit will be conducting 24 surveys in the Worcester and Wyre Forest areas over the coming weeks.
Karen Hanchett, senior transportation engineer, said: "The surveys will allow us to improve the transport network across Worcestershire in relation to new development. We ask motorists to co-operate during the surveys so the required information can be obtained as efficiently as possible so not to disrupt traffic flow."
Police will be present at each of the sites to inform motorists of the surveys taking place and to keep disruption to a minimum. If traffic builds up or safety issues arise then officers will suspend the surveys until conditions have improved.
