AS a parent of a child who attends Westlands First School and also having moved to Droitwich just before Christmas from Charford, Bromsgrove, I thought we had moved away from all the bad drug dealers and users. But I was so wrong, judging by what we have seen in the last two weeks.
I take my daughter to and from school and use the shops by the school and nearly every day my daughter and I, and all the other parents and children, have to see three or four drug users (always the same ones) hanging around by the shops drinking in an alcohol-free zone and doing whatever else they do to get into the states they are in.
From what some of the other parents have said, there have been many reports to the police about these people; even the post office staff have called. The police have been seen to walk past them even when they are drinking in plain view. So if you want to see for yourselves, just go up to the school and the shops at about 3pm and watch. Then you can ask the police why there has been nothing done!
There have been a number of incidents to do with drug needles on the estate. What has to happen before something is done about them? It's clear to see - one of them can't stand still let alone behave properly.
I and other parents don't want our children to have to see this.
