A CONCERNED police officer has urged Stoke residents to report anti-social behaviour in the parish.
At a meeting of Stoke Parish Council beat manager PC Louise Munslow said she was worried she was not receiving calls about incidents.
She said: "I could do with more calls to feedback. I need to know where I need to be and at what times.
"If I don't know then I cannot act. By calling the police and informing me, it justifies me and others coming down to Stoke and taking action."
Parish councillor Sean Shannon said he had tried to ring the police number about three incidents but had given up and asked if the telephone system would be improved.
PC Munslow said there was a clear problem there but she was happy for people to call her mobile number until problems with the call centre were sorted out.
Cllr George Verney urged people to persist in calling police and reminded them to get an incident number when they reported a crime.
The first Partners and Communities Together (PACT) meeting is being held for the Stoke parish on Monday, March 27 from 7pm at the village hall, in Hanbury Road.
PC Munslow said: "We hope that people living and working in this ward will make a note of the meeting and come along to share with us their concerns. By working together, in this way, we can channel our efforts and resources towards issues that matter most to local residents and the community as a whole."
Anyone wanting to report incidents to police should call 08457 444 888.
