A SPA couple was left angry and saddened to find thieves had struck during the night to take garden decorations.
Christine Rouse and Christopher Chatwin woke to discover that around 20 rounded concrete edging stones had been taken from the garden of their home in Woodman's Rise, Westlands, during the night of Thursday, March 16 and the following morning.
The couple believe that a large van or lorry could have been used because of the weight of the stones.
Christine Rouse said: "It is very disappointing, it makes you wonder about what is safe to leave lying around these days. It seems people will steal almost anything. We are angry about it because it is not right."
Anyone who saw anything suspicious is urged to call police on 08457 444888.
