Vice Chairman of the council, Mrs Margaret Taylor took the salute as the girls marched from the Dolphin Suite to St John's Church, where the special ceremony was held.
BROMSGROVE Rovers' second team match was sensationally postponed after their team coach was in collision with a fire engine answering an emergency call.
The accident occurred at the junction of Stourbridge Road and Birmingham Road.
Four men including second team manager Dave Harper were taken to Bromsgrove Cottage Hospital with minor injuries. The match, against Westfields had to be called off by telephone.
A CAPACITY crowd packed into the Hop Pole to hear local folk music group Fairfield Folk perform with popular group Malfunction.
Malfunction's appearance was the latest in a long line of top groups to stop off at the Bromsgrove folk nights on their road to success.
The club, which started at the Ewe and Lamb in Stoke Heath, had recently seen a rise in popularity, increasing its performances to two a month.
