GOLF: Nearly one hundred competitors braved cold weather to compete in Bromsgrove Golf Club's Spring Scramble event over the weekend.
The tournament, the club's first major of the 2006 season, attracted 96 competitors, despite windy and freezing temperatures.
The quartet of S Hughes, B Roe, J Harper and G Newton won the event with a nett score of 57.4
J Walker, C Mole, C Boland and G Carter were second with a score of 57.9, followed by I Sallows, D Downes, D Sallows and M Sallows in third (58.6). G Forresor, N McDermott, N Butler and R Poulton were fourth (58.8), followed by M Burrow, W Freeman, P Fox and C Fox in fifth (60.2).
G Cross, I Greaves J Rushton and K Fisher were sixth (60.6), A Geehan, D Barefoot M Edwards and K Fisher were seventh (61.6) and G Hill, R Faulkener, P Keaveney and J Cound came eighth (61.6).
