MEMBERS of education subsidies campaign group F40 are hoping to meet headteachers, county councillors and county council officers to discuss funding in Worcestershire.
Plans to change the funding situation were discussed at a recent F40 conference in Nottingham, where the county's leading campaigner, Helen Donovan, grilled Education Department representative Dugald Sandeman.
The group, which represents a number of authorities across the country, has developed its own funding model which it says should be adopted by the Government.
Redditch councillor Juliet Brunner, who attended, said: "Now is the time for Worcestershire to select a representative area to test out the F40 Model. It will cost and requires many hours of input.''
She said they should form a working group of members, officers, headteachers and F40 executive members and draw up an action plan to test the model on a cross section of Worcestershire schools.
