DROITWICH turned in a much-improved performance to beat Cleobury Mortimer 31-17 away from home in Midlands Division Four West (South).
The Droitwich pack concentrated on doing the simple things well, which proved highly effective with hooker Dean Goddard having an excellent game.
After good work by prop Ben Thomas, Craig Burgess created space for the outside backs and Chris Hooper rounded off the move to score.
Full-back Steve Poke was then on hand to add to the score, before Burgess went over. The home side hit back with two tries of their own, although excellent work at the line-out by James Davies and Paul Sweeney helped set up centre Leon Hopkins to run in another try for Spa.
In the second-half, the forwards laid the platform for Jon Andrews to go over and complete the scoring.
Droitwich Under 15s thrashed Malvern Under 15s 50-7.
The Spa side had the majority of the possession but found it hard to convert possession into points.
The opening score came from Will Baillon who touched down in the corner. However, Malvern replied quickly and briefly took the lead with the conversion.
Jack Pomroy restored Droitwich's lead before the break.
The second-half saw Calum Kinghorn, Matt Cook, Tom Milwood, Luke Harris (2) and Charles Jackson all scoring, while Bobby Scott-Walker slotted five conversions.
Worcester Wanderers' game against Evesham was cancelled.
The Wanderers Seconds enjoyed a convincing 60-3 win over Malvern in the Worcester and Hereford Merit Table.
