SOAP opera fans could find themselves partying with the stars if they buy tickets to Worcester's celebrity football match in advance.
The casts of hit shows Hollyoaks and Coronation Street will go head-to-head in a football match to raise funds for Leukaemia CARE on Sunday, April 9.
Anyone who buys their tickets in advance should tune into Wyvern FM to be in with the chance of spending an exclusive VIP night with the players at Worcester's newest bar, SIN, due to open soon.
The competition, for over-18s, will see the winners collected in a limo and taken to the bar in New Street where they will party the night away with the casts from the soaps in the VIP area and then get entry to Bushwackers when SIN closes. There is also a competition for four under 18s to be team mascots at the football match.
The young winners will receive a replica kit as well as meeting the players and leading out the teams.
The television stars will grace the hallowed turf at St George's Lane to raise money for Leukaemia CARE, which has organised the event. Louise Carlin, Leukaemia CARE's fund-raising manager, said: "We're really pleased with the response so far. It promises to be a great day.
"About 600 tickets have been sold already.
"Who actually plays on the day will depend on the shooting schedules so we can't be sure who will play but we know they will make every effort to get the stars down here and it will be a cracking game."
Tickets are available from Worcester City Football Club, Bushwackers, Keystones, Sun on the Run in the Tything, Perdiswell Leisure Centre and Spatronic in Droitwich as well as the Leukaemia CARE ticket hotline on 0870 774 3667.
