THERE is free surfing available in Wychavon but is on the web rather than the water.
Wychavon District Council has offered free internet access at the council shop which is based at the Civic Centre, Pershore.
The surfing facility is available to all residents and will also be accessible at the Droitwich and Evesham contact centres.
It has proved very popular with customers using the system to do general inquiries, trace family trees or just keep in contact with friends and family all over the world.
The facility is available from 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday and 9am to 12.30pm on Saturday mornings.
Viv Keeble, customer services manager, said: "We are pleased to be able to provide this service to our residents in Pershore, Evesham and also in Droitwich.
"Wychavon are putting the needs of our customers first by making it possible for everyone to have easy access to today's technology."
