ON Saturday at the parish hall from 10.30am-noon it's our monthly coffee morning. Do drop in for a coffee and a chat and pick up the recipe leaflet for the apple and cider cake competition on Saturday, May 13. This is one of the many attractions of the Bosbury Cider and Blossom Festival in the Parish Hall from 11am-8pm on that day. The festival is a first for Bosbury and includes local cider tasting, guided blossom orchard walks, maypole dancing and cider making history displays of local memorabilia.

On the evening of March 18, it's Flicks in the Sticks at 7.30pm. The film Mrs Henderson Presents is the tale of an eccentric widow who buys an old theatre in London and relaunches it as a venue for nude revues.

Regular users of the parish hall will be delighted to hear that an order has been placed for 100 new chairs, which should be delivered during April. A sample of the new chair has been on display during recent weeks and approved by the many people who tried it. Generous donations from the parish council and Bosbury Players have helped with the purchase. An additional 50 chairs are required and will be bought when funds are available.

Planning for the improvement and refurbishment of the parish hall continues. Two applications for major grants have recently been submitted and others are being prepared. If all goes well the works should be completed during 2007.
