Malvern Hills District Council could contribute nearly £45,000 to upgrade tennis and netball courts at Dyson Perrins High School.
Sports facilities at the Yates Hay Road school are currently being improved, with the council providing £434,000 towards the work.
This includes refurbishing the sports hall and gym, building new changing facilities and a fitness room, and providing a new reception area and car park. But the money does not stretch far enough to refurbish the tennis and netball courts.
However, when MHDC gave planning permission in 2003 for the development of the old laundry site, also in Yates Hay Road, the developer was asked to contribute £44,864 towards public open space.
MHDC's executive committee, which meets on Tuesday, March 21, is being asked to approve the use of this money for the sports courts.
n Contractors who refurbished the Splash in 2003 are likely to be paid £1,519,602. Malvern Hills District Council's executive committee will be asked to approve the payment to Pearce Construction.
Pearce was originally asking for £1,590,861, but this was reduced following negotiations. However, the figure is higher than a forecast of £1,468,907 presented to a previous executive board meeting. This was revised to allow for extra work carried out.
