ASHPERTON Primary held of the challenge of Castlemorton but could not catch St Francis Xavier RC Primary and so took the runners-up spot in the 2006 Herefordshire and Worcester-shire Schools Orienteering Champion-ships at Eastnor Deer Park.
Although they did not score any individual class wins, St Frances Xavier and Ashperton managed to pip the others due to their overall results.
The event was well attended and closely contested by the primary schools. The secondary classes were not so well-supported, but there was still a good mix of schools.
