ARDEN Sailing Club (Defford) members competed in the first race of the season on Sunday.
The wind was from the north west making the sailing relatively simple with reach in both directions, however its strength was variable. This resulted in some interesting sailing with places changing during the race.
The result was, first Ralph Evans (Solo), second Nial Campbell & Jane Smee (Enterprise) by the smallest of margins from third-placed David Bryden (Herron), in fourth spot was Stuart & Caroline Stephen (Enterprise), fifth David & Pauline Appleby (Enterprise) and sixth Val Jolly (Topper).
Arden Sailing Club caters for all levels of sailing. For further information contact Ray on 01386 554109 or Helen on 01905 23298.
