A POWERFUL display at Spring Lane by Malvern first XV on Saturday in Midlands West Two reversed an earlier season defeat by visiting Camp Hill.
David Robins, director of rugby, was delighted with his team's performance that produced a 45-20 victory.
Robins said: "When 'Beano' White was carried off after only seven minutes I thought the injury jinx which has plagued us all season had struck again. However, Dave Wilkinson took over with great authority and controlled the midfield. The pack were outstanding, Smith a king in the line-out against his old club, whilst Taylor, Ruddock and Anderson in the back row went on the rampage in attack and closed down any threat in defence.
"The front five totally dominated and Irish showed his class with an excellent display. Whilst it is hard to single out individuals, Ridgers and Lamb showed great maturity and produced two champagne moments that got our supporters buzzing.
"The players are so highly motivated that we have won six on the trot at home. They are looking to go to Leamington next Saturday (March 25) to notch up a win to seal our status in this league."
