A CELEBRATION to mark the 25th anniversary of the re-opening of a railway station is to be held in Honeybourne, on the Worcestershire and Gloucestershire border.
The village hall will be the venue for the occasion on Tuesday, March 21, which will go full steam ahead with a special film.
Honeybourne Station, once a busy junction on the Worcester-Oxford and Stratford-Cheltenham lines was closed in 1969, but reopened amid much ceremony in 1981.
The Cotswold Lane Promotion Group is organising a series of events to mark the anniversary, including a month-long exhibition in Evesham library in April.
The first event, on Tuesday, kicks of at 7.30pm. Steam Through the Vale and Cotswolds will be presented by rail archivist and film producer Michael Clemens, from Pershore.
Admission is £4 for adults, £2 for children and includes refreshments.
