BROADWAY United took a huge step towards first division survival in the Birdseye Sports Evesham Sunday League by completing a quickfire double over relegation bound Mick-leton Rangers.
Goals from Jamie Bostock (2), Alcock and Dyke gave Broadway the win on a day when fellow strugglers Offenham Rovers also moved towards safety with victory at fast sinking Peopleton with Leyden scoring twice.
Champions Ambassador defeated Evesham WMC thanks to a Tim Beattie double, two goals apiece for Bate and Greenwood earned the Bear an impressive win at Upton Snodsbury.
Strikes from Mills and Matt Jeffs maintained Moreton Wanderers' title hopes with victory at Red Horse.
Willersey defeated Tewkesbury Town to consolidate second place in Division Two thanks to goals from Hawkins, Major and Clark.
Badsey Rec won at Defford and Besford courtesy of goals from Bishop, Townsend and Smith, while a Sibanda treble led Golden Cross to a Division Three win over Pinvin.
Queens earned three welcome points after an eight-goal defeat of Sporting Theocs with Reid (3) and Beese (2) among the goals.
Doubles from Haines and Hunting helped Ashton to a seven-goal win at Bell United while Crowle lost further ground on the leaders after being held 2-2 at Wickhamford for whom Clements struck twice.
A John Hawkins hat-trick led Division Four leaders Fairfield Sports to victory at Pebworth. Cider Mill moved clear in second place with a win over Royal Oak, Bullock and Cox scored for the winners with Badham replying for the Oak.
Broadway's second string maintained their outside chance of promotion with victory over Gate Inn as Jordan Buckland netted twice.
Third division Moreton Town upset top flight strugglers Inkberrow to reach the last eight of the Evesham Mechanical Services Subsidiary Cup with Neale scoring twice for the Cotswolds side.
