Niall Scully, of Chester Road North, died in hospital after the collision, which took place at around 4.20pm on Monday.

He was taken to Worcestershire Royal Hospital in Worcester and was later transferred to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham, where he died in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

The 40-year-old male rider of the white Buell motorcycle, from Kidderminster, was treated for minor injuries at Kidderminster Hospital.

PC Mark Rowley of North Worcestershire Police's Road Policing Support Unit said: "We are in the early stages of trying to piece together exactly what happened.

"I would urge anyone who saw the incident or believes they may have seen either the pedal cycle or the motorcycle prior to the collision occurring to make contact."
