A FORMER Midland Red bus depot is to undergo a significant facelift as the site is to be turned into modern offices.
The depot on Abbey Lane, Evesham, will soon have ten offices built onto it, which are designed to fit easily into the look of the towns existing buildings, as well as a car parking area.
Midlands architects BBLB were given planning permission for the scheme and according to partner in the company, Ed Baverstock, market research shows this is a project that Evesham wanted.
He said: "The development will provide much needed office accommodation on a gateway site, not only for existing local companies looking to expand, but also for incoming business."
The scheme is being developed by Widnes based company, Morbaine Ltd, and Director of the company Alex Brodie admitted that this project was out of the ordinary for the company as they usually work with retail developments.
He added: "We felt that the requirements for this development lay outside the expertise of our usual architects so we are delighted with the help we have received from BBLB who specialise in commercial office development."
