THE sixth Bledington Music Festival takes place on June 6, 7 and 8 in the village's St Leonard's Church.
The first concert is with the young international violinist, Chlo Hanslip, whose concert will include Beethoven's Kreutzer Sonata and Prokofiev's Sonata No.1.
The second evening features The Firsova Piano Trio from the Royal Academy of Music, who already play all over the country to great acclaim. The programme includes piano trios by Dvorak and Saint-Sans.
The third and final evening brings the Sarah Louise Ensemble, a new and innovative group fusing jazz, classical and pop music. The ensemble includes saxophones, cello, piano and drum kit.
The programme will include a variety of music from Rimsky Korsakov's Flight of the Bumble Bee, Ibert's Concertino for alto sax and piano as well as arrangements by Sarah Ings herself.
The festival has been running since 2001 and is organised by Rodney Beacham, a former pupil of what was in those days Chipping Campden Grammar School. Martin Graham, founder of Longborough Festival Opera and Charlie Bennett, organiser of Chipping Campden Music Festival, are also former pupils.
