THE 2006 Go Fishing Show, Europe's largest angling event, will be casting off at Birmingham's NEC tomorrow.
This year's show will cover the four core disciplines - Coarse, Carp, Sea and Game fishing and, with over 200 exhibitors and 150 live demonstrations, the three-day extravaganza promises to have something for everyone.
Ninety tonnes of sand, 5,000 fish and more than 150,000 gallons of water will transform the NEC into 25,000 fishermen's ultimate fantasy island.
One of the most intriguing attractions will be the Angling Times Advanced Tip Academy where a giant indoor tank will be elevated to 'fish eye level' allowing spectators to watch and study the fish's reaction to various techniques.
The show is open from Friday until Sunday between 9.30am and 5pm and advance ticket prices are adult £10, senior citizens £7.50, 5-15s £5 and under-5s free. A family ticket can be bought for £27.
