A PERSHORE couple have travelled abroad to find their own solution to achieving the perfect smile.
Ann and David Barrett contacted Ann Smith, managing director of Flight2Beauty in Birlingham near Pershore, after they decided to resolve their oral complaints.
Mr and Mrs Barrett, who are currently having bridges and dental implants inputted by a dentist in Bratislava, are due to arrive back in the UK this Saturday.
Mrs Smith who arranges all types of cosmetic surgery of her clients here and abroad told the Journal, how Mr Barrett had sought out her assistance after he wanted the treatment.
The couple's decision to seek treatment abroad came as a survey carried out by the consumer magazine Which? showed how more than three quarters of people in England believe that it will get harder to find an NHS dentist in the next 12 months.
While one in ten think the situation will stay the same but only three per cent think it will get easier.
Sara Apps, from Which? Health campaigns said: "The Government has lost trust in delivering accessible dental treatment to all.
"The new reforms should in theory help people find an NHS dentist, but there is still a huge lack of clarity over how they will in practice."
Mrs Smith is currently sending two couples abroad, each week to have treatment done to their teeth.
"I placed an advert in the Journal not so long ago and ever since then I'm having clients coming in and asking me to arrange travel and sort similar treatments," she added.
Mrs Smith who has been running her cosmetic business for the past 12 months got the idea of organising such treatments holidays after her son had his dentistry treatment in Bratislava.
"My son lived in Bratislava for seven and when we saw the work he had done to his teeth and heard the amount of money he paid for his treatment we thought it would be good idea to encourage others to come over to have similar treatment,"added Mrs Smith.
Mrs Smith is currently negotiating with other dentists in the Slovakian capital to treat children free if they travel with their parents.
