COLD and overcast conditions greeted competitors at Throckmorton Clay Sho-oting Club with a wind to test even the most experienced member's mettle.
However, shooters on the Down the Line Single Barrel competition produced some top scores with Roy Spooner taking top spot with a perfect 25/25 (75/75) after junior Simon Jones (24/25=72/75) appeared set for victory.
Competition was equally as close on the Skeet layout but there were just two perfect scores from Paul Colley and John Tarplee.
The latter also proved tops on the the English Sporting discipline as his score of 57/60 relegated Wes Harris (55/60) into second place.
