THE Prudden Road Surf-acing Summer Tennis League covering the South Warwickshire and district region, staged it's annual general meeting at Bidford RBL Club.
There has been yet another record entry of team applications for the 2006 season and the arrival of Alcester B, Moreton-in-the-Marsh B and Studley C brings the league up to 40 teams with eight in each of the five divisions.
The league also runs a junior competition, an annual one-day pairs tournament to be held on Sunday, September 3 at Stratford TC and an Inter-League Charity Cup Final to be held this year on Saturday, June 24 at the NFU Sports Club in Tiddington.
The league is backed for a tenth season by Redditch company Prudden Road Surfacing. Asphalt Express (Redditch), meanwhile, have also agreed to donate £50 cheques to each divisional winner - to be used to promote junior tennis.
League president, Tony King has again promised financial backing for the annual Pairs Tournament, while a new four-year sponsorship deal has been agreed with Paul Bruner of Shopfittings and Equipment in Bidford.
Secretary Corin Bishop, reported on another successful season last year and thanked all team secretaries for their efforts.
