STOURPORT firsts finished all square at National North Division leaders Brooklands during a topsyturvy 4-4 draw.

Imran Yousaf scored twice with skipper Phil Lashford and Rob Allen also on target to earn a point which leaves them fifth.

Yousaf's two goals came from first half penalty corners with Lashford scoring from a counter attack to give Stourport a 3-2 interval lead.

After the break determined defending from Dan Packwood and good goalkeeping from Ben Dudley looked like keeping Brooklands at bay.

But a harshly-awarded short corner gave the Manchester hosts a lifeline and after levelling the scores they took the lead on 46 minutes and continued to dominate.

Stourport refused to buckle and their resilience shone through when they forced an equaliser from Rob Allen's penalty stroke after a foul on Packwood.

Skipper Lashford has dubbed the home match against Sheffield Hallam at 12.30pm on Sunday as a "must win" fixture.

He said: "We can take positives out of last Saturday's result but realistically we have to win virtually all of our remaining five games to have a chance of gaining promotion."

Stourport seconds were under-strength as they lost 4-2 to Beeston.

Stourport fourths maintained their march towards promotion with a 4-2 win over Cannock seconds.

Mike Taylor, Mike Shaw, Alan Moss and Rob Bratt got the goals for the fourths who visit Bridgnorth on Saturday.

Kidderminster firsts allowed Droitwich a share of the points in a keenly-fought West Midlands Premier derby.

Kidderminster put Droitwich under pressure from the start, taking a well-deserved lead after Joe Sorrell buried his shot from a short-corner.

A poor clearance went to an unmarked Droitwich player, and his shot eluded the outstretched Andy Moore in goal, for the equaliser.

Good work from Andy Pocknell set up the next goal, as though his shot hit the post, the rebound was touched home by Neil Jackson.

Droitwich equalised soon after the break, and the game became an end-to-end affair.

Jackson added his second to put Kidderminster ahead, but a lack of communication taking a Kidderminster free hit gifted Droitwich the chance to equalise.

Sorrell's late attempt to grab the winner went just wide.

Kidderminster travel to Finchfield at the weekend, for the first time this season having a full-strength squad.

Kidderminster fourths missed absent goal-getter Mike Wakenshaw as they failed to find the target during a 2-0 defeat to a young and quick Wolverhampton side.

Newcomers Iain Pain and Mark Gibson gave a good account of themselves for the fourths who visit Lodge Park on Saturday.
